Get Ready: Voice Assistants Are Coming to Your Conference Room

MY THOUGHTS:

Gartner predicts that, by 2021, 25 percent of digital workers will use virtual assistants on a daily basis; this is up from just 2 percent in 2019. And the market will grow from 4 billion in 2019 to 21.8 billion in 2025. That is a big wave. This PC Mag article details just a few of the use cases for digital assistants in the office. Our opinion is that knowledge (or digital) workers will leverage numerous forms of Digital Assistants to help them get things done more easily. It is highly unlikely that a single Digital Assistant will do it ALL for a person. It is much more likely that a knowledge worker will employ the services of a whole host of assistants that specialize in certain types of tasks or decision-making that benefit the user.
